My accessory making isn't just limited to engraving. I have a file cabinet filled with bits and pieces, odds and ends, for making things. Among the collected tidbits are fabric, buttons and watch parts. Shown below are four easy to fabricate necklaces that give a unique twist to your wardrobe (and cost next to nothing)!
Perhaps it's the former school teacher within me, but for me, fall brings with it the sense of a fresh start. I find myself buying new pens, pencils and pads of paper, making labels , organizing files and looking forward to learning new things (even as a grown up).
The past few years, I have chosen a word for the year ahead, something to focus on, something for which to aim. My word of the year has been, "purpose." I've lived 2016 quite purposefully. Though the new year is a few months out on the horizon, I feel like it's ok to put a word into commission just a smidge early. It's an oldie but a goodie, the word, "moxie." Moxie means to have determination, spirit, pizazz, creativity or drive. It's time to get my moxie in motion, moving forward with some fresh ideas and goals. I hand engraved this pendant as a little reminder. I figured maybe if I wear it, it will stick.
